Peter Tas is a highly accomplished martial artist and instructor with over 32 years of experience.
He is a passionate advocate for the benefits of martial arts and has dedicated his life to sharing
his knowledge and expertise with others.
Peter is the founder of Personal Self Defence, a lineage of 17 Black Belts from 1st Black to 4th Black American Kenpo. He is also the founder of Kenpo Tactical Systems Syllabus and the highest-ranking student in Australia for Senior Master Graham Lelliott, GL Kenpo.
Peter has held various leadership positions in the martial arts community, including Victorian Director for Kenpo 4 Kids, Bayside Victorian Director and Jeff Speakman’s American Kenpo Karate Systems regional director, and Victorian Director for Kenpo Karate Australasia.
He has also hosted numerous martial arts events, including the Annual Australian Kenpo Spirit Training Camps, Kenpo4 Kids World Karate Tournament, and Kenpo4 Kids Victorian Championships.
In addition to his martial arts achievements, Peter is a certified 1st Aid Level 2 and Working With Children Check.
He is also the founder of the Mind Sensei Podcast and member of the International Martial Arts Alliance.

Throughout his career, Peter has trained under renowned martial arts masters, including Graham Lelliott, Ed Parker Jr., Huk Planas, Ingmar Johansson, Steve Stewart, Lee Wedlake, Rich Hale, and Marty Zaninovich. He has hosted numerous national and international martial arts instructors at his seminars and training camps.
Peter is dedicated to sharing his knowledge and promoting the benefits of martial arts to people of all ages and abilities. He is a highly respected and influential figure in the Australian martial arts community and continues to inspire and motivate others through his teachings and dedication to the art.
