My name is Alan Rowe
Born 7 Feb 1958
Owner and Senior Head Instructor of the Launceston Yuishinkai Aikido Tasmania
I have been training in the Martial Arts from the early age of six. Starting with Judo progressing to Karate and a little Kung Fu in my teens .
I started practitioner Aikido in 1984 with Aikiki Launceston.
In 1986 I met an  old man (Len Scambler) in a restaurant talking about his Aikido and demonstrating Ki. Len invited me to his club at the PCYC and we became lifetime friends until his passing in 2015.
I moved to Fuji Ryu Aikido in 1986 under Len Scambler Sensei and graded to Sandan. (Third degree black belt) in November 2006
Certificate was awarded by Tim Waters Sensei Head instructor and Principal of Fuji Ryu Australasia.
In this time frame I started work at the Launceston Casino as a Door Security and leaving 10 years later after being offered the Security Managers Position.
In 2002 I met Peter Kelly Sensei in Hobart . Some time later under instruction from Len Scambler I moved over to Yuishinkai Aikido
I started my own club in Launceston at the Kings Meadows YMCA.
In November 2015 I was graded to Go Dan (Fifth degree black belt)
Certificate awarded by Master Koretoshi Maruyama Founder of Aikido Yuishinkai and Peter John Kelly International instructor.
