The beginning
My interest in martial arts started at 12 years old when I commenced training at the Northern Districts Judo club in Brisbane. Unfortunately after having an injury (broken collar bone) and together with high school and other activities, I moved away from martial arts until I arrived in Canberra. A friend of mine lived near a Dojo and she talked me into going with her on her first training day (Term 4 1993) at the Kaleen Branch of the Peter Morton Academy of Judo jujitsu Karate. I was hooked.
