The past 13 years of my life I have devoted to helping Young People in conflict with the law. I am currently a supervisor at the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre situated in Wacol on the outskirts of Brisbane Queensland. A major component of my duties is to provide the Young People with a safe and secure environment. Many Young People admitted to the centre are from dysfunctional families and suffer from Drug and Alcohol addiction, violence, suicidal issues and/or sexual abuse. In some cases it is the first warm bed, meal and shower the Young Person has had in weeks.
I have Studied Martial Arts for 23 years. I initially studied Judo and Karate until my introduction to Kung Fu in the late eighties. Other personal interests and hobbies include Fishing & Crabbing; Four wheel driving; Camping; Lapidary; Maintaining a healthy life style and spending time with my family.
