INTERNATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT OF THE YEAR DISTINGUISHED BOARD MEMBER (NSW)

Master Booth started training in the Martial Art of Tae Kwon Do in 1977, obtaining his 3rd degree black belt over the years. He also spent from 1979 training in the Yung family style – Southern Shaolin Tiger and Dragon Kungfu, obtaining his black sash, and from 1984 training Hapkido, now reaching the grade of 7th degree black belt.

His experience in Martial Arts is wide commencing with:

1989-1993 Australian Hapkido Association Senior Instructor – South Western Sydney
Established first Dojangs in area
Held first south western tournament
1993-1996 Australian Hapkido Group Chief Instructor & Founder Increased student base from 50 to 1,500
Established largest Hapkido training facility in the southern hemisphere Implemented standard instructor training and certification
1994-1996 Korea Sin Moo Hapkido Association Australian Representative – Chief Instructor

Hosted first Australian seminar tour by Grandmaster Ji Han Jae (10th degree and founder)

Established representation in each State of Australia Heightened awareness of Hapkido, techniques and history

Master Booth’s achievements include;

1st place – Self Defence, 1993 KOSHIKI STATE TITLES;

His interests, obviously besides his martial arts, include computers, writing, scuba diving, traveling and teaching.
